Friday 10th October 2008 - Tea time
We're all home safe and sound now - no photos on this one because no-one had any batteries still working in their cameras. Journey was fine and everything went smoothly (apart from Chelsea falling out of her bunk!) though it seemed to take ages to get back and we all still feel like we're moving (we've spent so long on trains that our bodies have got used to the way they move!). Time to catch up on some sleep now ;)

Thursday 9th October 2008 - Night time
Adios Barcelona :(
This is us on the Ellipsos just before we pulled out of Barcelona station - as you can see we're all sad to be leaving because we've had an amazing time. We did manage to have a bit of fun still by celebrating Chris' birthday with a surprise cake - it took us about 20 minutes to explain to the train staff what we wanted to do though as we weren't sure if lighting the candle would set off the fire alarms! In the end we just did it really quickly just in case as we had visions of the whole train coming to a grinding halt just because of us which would've been a bit embarassing...
We're really looking forward to seeing our families and friends again but it's going to feel weird going back to normal school on Monday rather having loads more new experiences. This trip is something we'll all remember forever with loads of great laughs in among the hard work and we'll always be the SUB Team no matter what else we go on to do next!

Thursday 9th October 2008 - Day time
Nou Camp visit - come on Barca!!
Wow is the only word to use to describe it - everything from the virtual tour to the dressing rooms was amazing and we even got to stand on the pitch briefly (even though we weren't really supposed to...). Was a little (!!) bit bigger than Darlo's ground and the atmosphere on match days must be incredible. Shop was good and we all got plenty of stuff to take home though to be honest most of us bought stuff for ourselves too not just for people back home - will be wearing our Barca shirts on the journey home so keep an eye out for us at the station!

This is all of us at Parc Guell, we had a great day sightseeing. After all our hard work we enjoyed visiting different places in the city. We enjoyed going on the tourist bus which took us round the beautiful city so that we could admire the amazing sights.

We have uploaded all the cartoons and videos that we presented in our session. You can see them on this webpage.
We are now editing the video we took of the session, and the video we took at the conference, and will add that to the website soon!
We have enjoyed Barcelona, but Thursday is our last day and then it is time for us to head home.

Wednesday 8th October, 2008 - Afternoon
SUB team in action! This afternoon we gave our presentation at the conference to delegates from seven different countries. We were all really nervous before we started but once we got going it wasn't so bad! The people who came were lovely and we got lots of good ideas for our campaigns when we get back to England as well as telling them all about what we'd done so far. We're going to the Hard Rock Cafe to celebrate so check back later for more on that!

Wednesday 8th October, 2008 - Night
Hard Rock Cafe was awesome!! All ate far too much (the chocolate brownie ice cream was one step too far for most of us...) and had an amazing time though we did get some funny looks when the WHOLE table kept bursting into song!! We're off exploring Barcelona tomorrow - can't wait!
Wednesday 8th October 2008 - Morning
Interviewing the boss :)
This is Tony, he's the chief executive of living streets, he was really great to interview and we really enjoyed talking to him. Chelsea was the producer, Dee was on sound, Chris S was the reporter and Helen was on camera. We all did really well on our jobs and it was great fun.

Hi! Before we did the presentation thingy we interviewed Jacky Kennedy. This is a pic of Rhiann trying to figure out the camera. The food at lunch was mingin (well it was free).
Before the conference we managed to get some interviews! We interviewed Jacky Kennedy, who does travel planning for schools in Canada, and asked her some questions about what what she thinks about her job and her plans for the future. we will upload the interviews shortly! So keep watching!

SUB get some culture!
As part of our work with the Catalan pupils from Montserrat Secondary today we went on a walk to create some cartoon strips which you'll be able to see here soon! We ended our walk at a house designed by Gaudi which you can see in the picture. We enjoyed the day and worked really hard planning and photographing our 'scenes'.

Monday 6th October 2008 - Afternoon
Meeting the Catalonian pupils and having a game of rounders to get to know one another in preparation for the youth forum on Wednesday.
After rounders we had lunch together where they helped us order our meal (miming chicken!). We found out their names and what they liked doing in their spare time, we found the language barrier hard but we solved it by the universal language of football!

Monday 5th October 2008, morning
Hhhhhhmmmmm.... world record amount of people in a train hotel room? I think we're close! a bit cramped as you can see.
Sleeping was a bit hard, due to all of the wobbling! also during the night it got really cold! Thankfully they provided extra blankets, besides after a three course meal, sleep is all you need!
It was a bit tricky trying to wash our hair in the ensuite bathroom, everytime the train jerked we went flying out of the shower but I suppose that is all part of the experience. :)

Sunday 5th October 2008
At Austerlitz station in Paris, waiting for the train to come...we waited three hours before it finally arrived! We wasted our time by eating pain au chocolat and people watching!!!

Sunday 5th October 2008 - Evening
Us at the Gard d'Austerlitz station ready to board the sleeper train to Barcelona. It stinks of sewage because they empty the train toilets here!!! :-( We had a pastry and it tasted nice. We spent ages waiting for the train.
