Acklam Grange, Middlesbrough

Fifteen year 8 pupils are taking a creative approach to 'Step Up'. They had a go at some digital re-design, blotting out cars, painting metal shop shutters pink, replacing pavements with lawns and 'decorating' lollipop ladies. They are currently working with a writer to create performance poetry which will take their message about walking to school and improving local walking routes to a group of local decision-makers from the police and the local council.
